I have been waiting patiently for a few years now to make the switch from my 480i Toshiba 32" CRT to an HDTV. Thanks to a decent tax return I was finally able to join the Hi Def club. I live in a small apartment and already had a nice entertainment center which housed my aging Toshiba so I chose to stay with the 32" screen format as anything larger would not fit. After doing weeks of research it came down to this LG or the Samsung LN32C350.

I bought this TV mainly for gaming and netflix. It looks good but make sure you have it hooked up to an HD source. There were no jagged edges in gaming and I am very happy overall with the picture quality.

Picture quality on this tv is excellent (it has an IPS panel), black levels are impressive, color is vibrant. And you can tweak the picture to your likeing with a ton of various options. Took me a while to get the picture quality just right for gaming, HD content and SD content.

I'm a point and shoot amateur photographer, and this camera line has made me look like quite the pro. My camera goes everywhere with me, hiking, and packpacking, road trips... everywhere. Producing fantastic photos most of the time.

The photos that this takes exceeded my Nikon L110 by alot. the zoom is great and the stabilization is fantastic. I am able to take the zoom shots and still crop a portion of the pic without losing any details

I have had two Casio wave cepter watches and this one is the better. You never have to set this watch, solar powered, which lasts months without any sunlight, and water proof. Looks great also! The only small downfall for this watch is it's crystal......it does seem to scratch a little easy. The crystal is glass, some other casio's have plexi-glass crystal which scrathes very easy. The best is the saphire crystal, which as of now only comes with the Casio Oceanus line of watches. (terrific line of watches)

Love the watch-now. Because the manual is often not clear, it took quite a while to set up. AMAZON was no help. Whey I contact them to get Casio's Tech number the only number they had was for a distributor. Casio's website allows you to send e-mails with a standard response- download the manual. BUT after quite a bit of digging I found the number- write this down- Casio Tech Support: 1-800-435-7732, choose Option 3.

The response is prompt and the tech support staff is courteous and helpful.

I run and own one of Florida's most reputable paranormal teams "Team Phenomenon | Paranormal Bad Boys TV" and we need to high quality footage for our films. I looked at many other cameras but the XHA1s was by far the clearest in resolution. This camera is a snap to work with and the overall quality makes it worth the money. This is one of our main cameras we use for production of our films, videos and documentaries and if I could I would buy a second in a heart beat as backup. The camera battery life is exceptionally good and the features give your video that clear HD eye candy you want. This is the independent film makers top choice of cameras and I can get why, I simply call it an Orgasm in a box. because that is how you feel when you first get it in the mail.

My only two cons is that the front microphone head is kinda wobbly and it doesn't shoot to hard drive, Digitizing tapes can put extra stress on the heads. An hour long HDV tape equals to 12GB of hard drive storage so make sure you have an extra 1.5TB of external HD backup for your projects and never overwrite the original tapes. I buy my HDV tapes from Walmart which are 6 for $20 and work beautifully.

This is my 3rd 'family' camcorder and the best one thus far. When my son started playing high school football it only took me one season to realize that the current camcorder wasn't getting the job done. Not only that but the conversion from tapes to DVD was SO painful. I did a lot of research on what I was going to need to shoot action movement at night. For the money that I was willing to spend this was the camera that came out on top. I have not been disappointed to date. By his junior year I was back to researching exactly what college coachs wanted in the way of a 'high light' DVD and realized that I already had the tool to give them exactly what they wanted. I have no doughts that the HD quality DVD and the ability I had to zoom into the line and single him out from the stands made a diffence in his choice college offering him a try out. The only draw back was the software that comes with it. I dumped that and use the full version of Power Producer and Power Director. I have just recently started using it to shoot indoors activities (ceremonies and functions) and have added a Rode shotgun microphone to get better sound. This camcorder has been well worth the money spent and I would absolutely buy it again. Be sure you buy an extra battery or two though. Compared to what's available now, this camera can seem a bit "outdated" but I bought one used many years ago and it is still going strong, recording projects with very competitive SD picture quality. It isn't HD and it doesn't have 24P but its "frame mode" does provide a low-cost alternative. I chose this camera because I had a lot of experience using it from other GL1 and GL2 owners and I'm still not disappointed. I say this is a very good introductory camera for filmmakers and videographers not looking to spend twice as much for the most current technology. This camera is designed for professional applications and is not a good choice for people shooting "simple" home videos and little league games. If you are not serious about shooting and editing professional video, this camera will easily discourage any buyers not willing to learn a lot of functions.

After at least 4 years of service (not including how long the previous owner used it), I have still not seen any malfunctions such as the "remove tape" error that seems to be occurring with some GL2 owners. I own several camcorders and reserve the GL2 for only the best projects in order to spare this camera from heavy usage and abuse. Owning a cheap, "junkie" camcorder for tape logging to the computer is a MUST. No one spending their money on any camcorder in this price range should be using it as a VCR to watch tapes and log clips.

You have to take it out and experiment, but that's the fun of it. I would recommend that you read, read, read all the reviews. Boy, it gets attention when you are out in public (what fun!)

People ask for my business card often because they assume I'm a pro just by using it. Or they ask, what TV station I work for. There are lots of add-ons to consider owning. Its not High Definition but who needs it? I take it everywhere. Just remember you will eventually need a good travel case,a wind screen, extra batteries, a heavy-duty professional tripod and additional lenses to complete your experience. The camera is a bit heavy(as I expected) and takes some getting used to.......but wow, its worth it ! The sound you get is great. I just bought some wireless microphones for my XL2. I'm glad I own it.

Just one word of warning, the camera can get heavy, especially if you use the standard battery it makes the camera very front heavy, but oh well.

This camera is totally customizable in which it is either all auto, manual or some of both. It has 5 presets that are customizable. The cool features about these presets are that you can get a 24p, 30p (cineframe and cinetone), and 60i modes. The 24p and 30p refers to the "film" setting. You can record in true 16:9 widescreen or standard 4:3 letterbox. The high def mode will only do 16:9. I wouldn't listen to anyone who says the widescreen is a stretched 4:3, because its not. You can also hook in headphones, and an XLR adapter. This comes with a 2-hr battery. There are just 3 things I have beef with about this camera. One is the fact that it doesn't have XLR inputs - you'd think that after spending 3K on a camera you'd get some. 2nd: It records in 1080i. Not exactly terrible. 1080i is not true HD, but nor is 720p. True HD is 1920x1080p. But, recording at this high of resolution means spending more money. 3rd: This thing can't record in 24p.

The proof is in the pudding.

I shot an entire feature-length documentary using a JVC GZ-HD7U, a pair of Schriber shotgun mics (Model SA-568ZM) strapped to it and plugged into its stereo input jack using a Y connector, and a GLIDECAM 2000 Pro.

The documentary subject required RAPID deployment of camera and sound equipment on location with little or no advanced notice. The portability of this camera made it ideal for these demanding shooting schedules.

The site where the majority of shooting was done required extreme mobility in small spaces. This camera was small enough and light enough to maneuver around with, even when the shotgun mics were strapped to it and all of that rig was mounted on the GLIDECAM.

With the documentary being shot in multiple locations - indoors and outdoors - using only available lighting (no additional artificial lighting was required for any part of the documentary shoot), this camera performed perfectly well for all lightng situations encountered.

Having limited idle-time intervals between shooting sessions - typically as little as 1 hour - downloading recorded video from the camera to mass storage (I used 4 1-terabyte WINBOOK drives hooked up to a Toshiba Satellite laptop) was a breeze.

As for battery capacity, I managed just fine using only two JVC Battery Packs (BN-VF823U) and one JVC AA-VF8 charger. Battery level indicators on the camera were delightfully obvious. Shooting schedules for the documentary typically ran from sunup to well beyond sundown and by always having one of the batteries in the charger while shooting with the other - switching batteries as needed - I never, in more than 100 hours of shooting for the documentary, found myself holding a useless camera with no juice available to operate it.

Durability of the camera was excellent. It never got dropped but it did get its share of bumps during the shoot and none of them damaged or negatively affected its performance whatsoever. It was operated in extreme temperature situations ranging from freezing to +100 degree, high-humidity summer temps without a hitch or glitch.

I have never rated any product I have purchased before in my life 100% five stars across the board. I can make these ratings for the Everio GZ-HD7U with complete confidence and just cause derived from long hours of hands-on, heavy field use in shooting the documentary.

My daughter just turned 2 and my wife was at toys-r-you and noticed my daughter very interested in the power wheels. It was a $100 at the store so I said I would see what they go for on Amazon and I was suprised when it was around $50 so i went ahead. The first time she pushed the button she got scared but after the second time she loves it. It is not fast maybe a slow walk speed but we live about 2 blocks from the park and she had rode it to the park,all around the park, and back home and I still did not have to charge the battery, honestly i did not figure the battery would last this long but it will last over a week with her riding it once and awhile. It charges over night and then good to go for a week or 2. Very durable and easy to assemble, she kinda throws it around and only light scratches and works great. Good buy for $50 and one more thing our neighbor boy who is 6 climbed on it and i was nervous but this little thing pulled him up the hill in the back yard no prob! If you're looking for a cheap little camera of so-so quality, this is not it. But if you want crisp, clear, vibrant photos, stunning videos, and a solid camera you can rely on, this is the one you've been searching for!

I shopped and compared for a LONG time before finally choosing this camera, and I am SOOO glad I did!! My friends and family all have the smaller, cheaper camcorders, and yes, I looked at those too. But this one, with 3CCD and 12x OZ beats them all, hands down. The pictures are beautiful - the zoom is awesome - and the video is the best! The controls are easy to find and use, and there are many options to choose from. The LCD is large and clear, and it turns in different directions so is great for viewing from other angles (like from in front of the camera!). The remote control is indispensable, not only for recording or taking shots, but also for playing back the videos on TV.

I did a lot of research on all the power wheel quads available before purchasing one for my 2 year old son. I'm a Harley mechanic so you can imagine how pickey I am!!! This quad is easy enough for him to use at the age of 2, and big enough for him to use for many years to come!!! You can set the speed on it at 2mph or a max speed of 5mph. When the speed is set at 5mph it is controlled by a foot pedal and twist throttle together, which is a good learning tool if you plan on getting your child a motorcycle later on in life. When the speed is set a 2mph it is controlled by a foot pedal, which is easy to use for all age groups of children. This quad goes great in the yard and in the dirt!! A helmet is not necessary, but a good idea to get your child use to wearing one for later in life. A simple bicycle helmet will do if you don't want to spend the money on a motorcycle helmet. I bought my son a motorcycle helmet and I can't get the kid to take it off!!! The quad does need to be assembled when purchased, for me it seemed very easy, it does come with all the tools required for assembly, but some good wrenches will make assembly a little easier!!!! For people that don't know much about the batteries, this one has a 12volt battery. Follow the charging instructions to the T if you want the battery to last, short time quick charging will shorten the battery life, and they are not that cheap to replace!!! This quad is awesome!!!!! I'm sure it will be pasted down to our next child when we decide to have one!!!!!! -- Awesome Quad!!!

This is a great charger and works great! As in all the other reviews, use it as instructed and it will save the day! I love the indicator lights that tell you when it is 80% charged and when it is 100% charged (80% being "quick charged" and can only be done every other time). We have 2 power wheels vehicles that use this type of charger and it works for both. With spring in swing it makes a huge difference especially when I've forgotten to charge at nite and I can still get 2 power wheels charged for use before the kids get home from school. -- GREAT charger!!

D700 from the amateur's perspective

Well, I finally got my D700 and have had it for about a week now so I wanted to put up some initial impressions of the pros and cons from an experienced amateur's perspective (been taking photos for almost 15 years now, but I wouldn't consider myself in any way a professional).

From the pro side:

I am VERY pleased with the full-frame CCD. Before this camera, I had the D100 and was happy with it, but always was a bit annoyed that my Nikon lenses were converted by the different size of the CCD. Now that I'm back to 35mm, I feel like the SLR acts a lot more like my old N90s. My favorite lens, the 85mm 1.4 produces astoundingly beautiful shots with increadibly shallow depth of field. I'm in heaven.

On the whole, the features I've used so far have been quite impressive. At normal ISOs the quality is just outstanding. I don't think I've ever seen digital pictures with this level of detail period. This said, what really impressed me was the 6400 ISO. I've played around with a number of digital cameras over the years and I don't think I've ever seen a camera that can produce the kinds of low-light images that the D700 does. The noise is so unbeleavably low that I am just floored.

I bought this TV couple of months ago from Walmart. What a stunning picture quality it has. It stood out from all the TVs on display around it due to it's vivid color and crisp picture. We bought it immediately and no regret. We love the picture quality. Sound quality is average as they say how it is in the flat TVs. Hence I bought a home theater system to complement it's picture quality and now we have stunning picture with amazing sound. Watching TV/movies is more fun than ever. With the home theater system, the sound is now balanced and there is no shocking sound level increase during the commercials.

The remote is nice and I like the quick setup button which pops up a circular dialogue box on the TV with most frequently used settings.

It has two HDMI inputs altough some competition TVs have more than 2 HDMI inputs. It also features a digital optical audio out and number of other traditional connectors including VGA input so that you could use it as a monitor for your computer.

My four year old son loves this! It was well worth the money! The tent got put up and didn't come down for a month. It was slept in every night and even a couple of naps. It was big enough to put a crib size mattress in. The tent is sturdy and the slumber bag is as nice as any we have purchased. It is not a bag for outdoor use. The tent was put away in perfect condition. I recommed this for any of your little CARS fans! The backpack and water bottle were a nice touch. I another tip I did put a little vaseline on the zipper and open and close it myself a couple of times. It just made it smoother and easier for him to open. The tent has a great window in the door. I just can't say enough about this product.

This suits my need for night time road rallies, in which you can easily point to a target and gather the information you need. The red LED
lights up the information and the guides perfectly, and does not blind you in the process. Unfortunately, it's a little big for traveling or

Better than I expected!!

I bought this tent in preparation for an overnight camping trip for a family of 5, including a 1 year old. Of course as soon as it arrived the kids wanted to sleep in it THAT night. Well, it was quite the rainy night - ALL NIGHT LONG, light rain to downpours. After setting it up in the drizzle, and wiping out the inside, this tent remained bone dry all night with the factory taped seams. Water just beads off the fly, outside walls, and storm flaps over the windows. I was very impressed with this aspect of the tent. Although the rainfly does not cover much of the long sides of the tent, as I mentioned before, water just beaded and slid off the fly, and down the sides of the tent.

Pentax has announced the K-r, its latest mid-level DSLR. Initially sitting above the K-x in the range it offers more angular, K-7-esque styling, 6 fps continuous shooting and HD movie recording. It also regains AF-point illumination in the viewfinder. It features a high-res 920k dot (VGA) LCD display and the ability to shoot at up to ISO 25600. Unusually for a Pentax at this level it uses a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery pack but can be used with AAs via an optional adapter.
